Australian Industrial Additives Pty Ltd (AIA) was formed in 2001 and incorporated in 2003 by a group of Australian companies having a history of successful cooperation and a mutual interest in the field of concrete durability. AIA was given the charter to develop a new generation of concrete additives to improve the impermeability, chemical resistance and other physical properties of the concrete and also to develop cost effective formulations to repair, restore and extend the life of existing concrete structures such as bridges, buildings and pavements.

Under the direction of Dr Victor Vyrodov, a well respected scientist with many years experience in the cement, concrete, admixtures and lignin industries, AIA has successfully developed, manufactured and tested the Centrox™ range of cementitious compositions used for protection, repair and restoration of existing concrete structures.

To supplement the Centrox™ range, AIA is collaborating with Russian manufacturers to modernise their production processes and supply a high performance, consistent quality sodium lignosulphonate - Lignosperse NA-100™. AIA has the sole rights to market and distribute Lignosperse NA-100™ throughout Australia, S.E.Asia and New Zealand and offers full technical and application support to Lignosperse NA-100™ customers.

Further AIA has developed and investigated a surfactant Molassperse™ produced from local raw materials. Molassperse™ can be an extender or alternative to some types of lignosulphonates.

Economical water reducing admixtures and grinding additives are produced with Molassperse™ as a base. Also, Molassperse™ is used for many of the traditional lignosulphonate applications (refer to Molassperse™ data sheet).
